I'm a Hufflepuff, a hobbit, and a future Companion. Nine and Ten are my favorite Doctors. My weapons of choice are bubbles and art supplies. I am dorky, clumsy, emotional, messy, indecisive, bubbly, scatterbraned, overdramatic, and insecure. I am also my own inner child. Among my myriad of random ambitions, I'd like to be a published author, be self-sufficient, walk on the moon, have fun daily, be someone's best friend, be a better Christian, discover the best shampoo in the world, travel (lots), get along with my family, improve my memory, and defeat my now year-and-a-half-old Headache Monster.

If you've made it this far, I offer you the following Warnings and Disclaimers:

1. The main reason I created a Tumblelog? MY ART. Please see My Art tag or visit my deviantART page. I crave feedback, good and bad, so please feel free to love, gush, laugh, scoff, snark, flame, or critique at will.

2. I go on epic reblogging sprees. I mean EPIC. Things I am liable to subject you to over the course of such reblogging sprees include, but are not limited to: Doctor Who, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Jane Austen novels and/or films, generic things that make me laugh, art (and loads of it), astronomy, the X-Men films, Walt Disney and all things pertaining to his legacy, bubbles, headaches, inspirational quotes, rainbows, things I like to drink, and nail art.

3. Sometimes I get the silly idea in my head that the peoples of Tumblr want to read what I have to say. The very LENGTHY and OFTEN LONG-WINDED things I have to say. Such posts will be few and far between, as I save most of them for my LiveJournal.

4. In case you didn't notice, I spend a lot of time on the internet.

That said, welcome to my Tumblelog. Please enjoy your stay.

Today’s chromaa-inspired digital doodle, done with the palette for July 13th.

Today’s chromaa-inspired digital doodle, done with the palette for July 13th.

Discovered this blog today and decided it’d be a great incentive to practice more with my tablet.  Here’s the palette for today!  I drew an old character of mine from an ancient-but-still-in-progress novel.

Welp.  I officially cannot draw horses.
That’s all.

Sketch of my would-be Halloween costume for later this year.  Don’t mind the quality.  I took a sucky photo of it by lamplight and then got the bright idea to slap color on it for five minutes to make the concept more obvious.  Any takers?

Snow White’s turned to piracy!  (I’ll legitimately color this tomorrow.  …or tonight.)

“Float Away the Gray”
Another old one from my in-progress sketchbook for the 2012 Sketchbook Project themed gray side of life.  Have been debating adding text to this one since I painted it.  It’s very messy, so I may go back and tidy it up a bit at some point.  I plan to do a large version of this on canvas some day.

I did this months ago: the first page of my 2012 Sketchbook Project.  I did the first half of this book in a huge artistic rush, then let it sit untouched on my book shelf for months.  I think I’m finally ready to pick it up again, so I’ll post some of the earlier pages here until the newer ones are done.

An original character, doodled pretty fast just to experiment with combining the Derwent inktense pencils painted over a Faber-Castell india ink outline.

Work in progress.  This is only my second time experimenting with the Derwent Inktense pencils, so hopefully it won’t turn out TOO dreadful.

Series of really bad Headache days over the past couple weeks.  This is an old drawing, but I decided to test my colored pencil skills with it today.
“I got no strings to hold me down…”
Sigh.  If only.

Again, a super hero who fights evil with a GIANT BUBBLE WAND.  Fear her.
The finished version of a sketch I blogged a few days ago.  I spent longer vacillating over which colors to use for her costume than I did ACTUALLY coloring it.
Also, I forgot how much my Chartpak markers bleed and had to do a bit of digital touch-up.
