Today’s chromaa-inspired digital doodle, done with the palette for July 13th.

Discovered this blog today and decided it’d be a great incentive to practice more with my tablet. Here’s the palette for today! I drew an old character of mine from an ancient-but-still-in-progress novel.
Originally a spread from my 2012 Sketchbook Project Limited Edition. The theme is, “how to spell and other things to learn.”

This was a page from my 2012 Sketchbook Project. My theme was “grey side of life.”

Sketch of my would-be Halloween costume for later this year. Don’t mind the quality. I took a sucky photo of it by lamplight and then got the bright idea to slap color on it for five minutes to make the concept more obvious. Any takers?
Snow White’s turned to piracy! (I’ll legitimately color this tomorrow. …or tonight.)
“Float Away the Gray”
Another old one from my in-progress sketchbook for the 2012 Sketchbook Project themed gray side of life. Have been debating adding text to this one since I painted it. It’s very messy, so I may go back and tidy it up a bit at some point. I plan to do a large version of this on canvas some day.
I did this months ago: the first page of my 2012 Sketchbook Project. I did the first half of this book in a huge artistic rush, then let it sit untouched on my book shelf for months. I think I’m finally ready to pick it up again, so I’ll post some of the earlier pages here until the newer ones are done.
My theme is gray side of life.
Series of really bad Headache days over the past couple weeks. This is an old drawing, but I decided to test my colored pencil skills with it today.
“I got no strings to hold me down…”
Sigh. If only.
Again, a super hero who fights evil with a GIANT BUBBLE WAND. Fear her.
The finished version of a sketch I blogged a few days ago. I spent longer vacillating over which colors to use for her costume than I did ACTUALLY coloring it.
Also, I forgot how much my Chartpak markers bleed and had to do a bit of digital touch-up.
